High-security registration plates: Website of HSRP supplier hacked, chaos rules

Panicked by the recent crackdown on owners of vehicles not having high-security registration plates (HSRPs) or the fuel-based colour coded stickers, scores of people on Wednesday tried to book slots to get these affixed only to find that the Delhi government’s website was down. It was later clarified that the website of HSRP supplier Rosmerta Safety Systems was hacked.   The Delhi transport department had on Tuesday issued 239 challans to vehicle owners for driving without high-security registration plates (HSRP) and colour-coded sticker as part of an enforcement drive in nine districts of the national capital.
