Jammu and Kashmir DDC election: Second phase voting begins amid tight security, 321 candidates in fray

Polling for the second phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections in Jammu and Kashmir began today at 7 am. According to an official, tight security arrangements have been made, while initial reports suggest only a few people have so far turned out at polling stations due to early morning winter chill. The pace of oting is expected to pick up as the day progresses and temperature rises, he said.
