Surya Grahan 2019/Solar Eclipse 2019: The annual solar eclipse would be witnessed in some parts of India on Thursday, beginning 8 am, wherein the Sun would appear as a 'ring of fire' in the morning sky. According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences, the annular 'Surya Grahan' would occur after sunrise on 26 December from 9 am to 12:29 pm. The annual solar eclipse, however, will only be visible in the southern states of India.
