Resident doctors in Delhi continue strike against NMC bill; healthcare, emergency services to remain affected

Resident doctors at several government hospitals went on strike on Thursday and withdrew all services including that at the emergency department to protest against key legislation that seeks to regulate the medical education sector. Patients in the national capital are yet to face a harrowing time as the strike of doctors is slated to continue even on Friday. The healthcare services, including emergency departments are likely to remain affected as resident doctors' associations of AIIMS, Safdarjung, RML and those attached with FORDA are continuing their protest against the passage of the National Medical Commission Bill in Rajya Sabha.
